Service Agreement

1. Scope of Services

Motion Made Smart provides professional installation, configuration, and education for consumer-ready devices, including but not limited to:

  • Video doorbells

  • Security cameras

  • Smart locks

  • Garage door openers

  • TVs, speakers, and soundbars

  • Routers, Wi-Fi hubs, and mesh systems

  • Smart plugs, bulbs, and similar low-voltage products

All devices installed are consumer-ready, low-voltage, or plug-in products.

2. Limitations of Services

To comply with state and safety regulations:

  • We do not perform electrical work involving modification of high-voltage wiring, breaker panels, or circuits.

  • We do not install or modify hardwired lighting, outlets, switches, or permanent electrical fixtures.

  • Any work requiring permits or licensed electrician oversight will be referred to or coordinated with licensed professionals.

3. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their home’s electrical system, Wi-Fi, and internet service are operational prior to installation.

Any required electrical repairs or upgrades must be completed by a licensed electrician before services can be performed.

Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the installation site.

Motion Made Smart is not responsible for delays, incomplete installations, or service limitations caused by incomplete customer preparation or site conditions outside of our control.

4. Network & Performance Notice

Motion Made Smart is not responsible for performance issues caused by internet service provider outages, Wi-Fi interference, third-party software changes, or manufacturer updates.

 

5. Liability Notice

Motion Made Smart maintains General Liability and Errors & Omissions (Professional Liability) insurance for customer protection during installation services.

The Company is not responsible for issues arising from:

  • Pre-existing electrical or structural conditions

  • Internet or Wi-Fi instability

  • Manufacturer defects or warranty issues

  • Third-party software, hardware, or service provider failures

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Motion Made Smart’s total liability for any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

6. Payment, Cancellations & Missed Appointments

All orders must be paid in full at booking. Free consultations are available prior to booking.

Missed appointments are defined as failure to be present at the scheduled time without at least 24 hours’ notice and are non-refundable.

Customers may reschedule for the next available date, subject to availability, with original payment applied.

Cancellations:

  • More than 24 hours’ notice → full refund

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice → treated as missed appointment

7. Guarantees

  • Standard 30-day workmanship guarantee

  • Motion Care Plan extends workmanship coverage to 24 months

  • Extended guarantees require an active Motion Care Plan

8. Payment Methods & Financing

Accepted payment methods include major credit cards, ACH, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay, and Klarna.

Motion Care Plans cannot be financed and must be paid in full at enrollment.

9. Service Area & Travel Policy

Services are available throughout North Carolina. Additional areas may be added.

10. Giving Back – Making Motion Happen Fund

Motion Made Smart donates:

  • $5 for every installation

  • $5 for every Motion Care Plan enrollment

11. Right to Refuse Service

Motion Made Smart reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if conditions are unsafe, misrepresented, or outside the agreed scope.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By booking services with Motion Made Smart, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions.

Acceptance may be completed electronically and does not require a physical signature.
